Have Emergency Management Skills?

The Emergency Management Coordinator can always use interested residents to assist in the event of an emergency in the township. Call Tom Newman 610-377-6296h. CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) Program is available in the Fall & Spring of each year. The free CERT program is designed to introduce County/Township residents to introductory courses in basic first aid, triage, disaster preparedness, fire suppression, light search and rescue, & terrorism awareness. Neighbors helping neighbors is our goal.

In the event of a disaster, as a CERT member you would be recognized as a volunteer under the direction of the EMC.  The classes will be held on three Monday evenings between 6:30 P.M - 9:30 P.M. at the Carbon County EM/911 building 1264 Emergency Ln. Nesquehoning, PA 18240. Sign up by calling the County EMA Office 570-325-3097.
